Lucy in the Sky → Lucy in the Sky (film) – "Lucy in the Sky" should redirect to Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds. I contest this recent move, because the Beatles song appears to qualify as a WP:PRIMARYTOPIC under both aspects: while the film's title does exactly match the term "Lucy in the Sky", the term is more commonly understood to reference the Beatles song, where long-term significance is also relevant. Admittedly, this is mainly on my limited anecdotal experience and a few Google searches, but this pageviews comparison may also be relevant. eπi (talk | contribs) 13:32, 12 April 2019 (UTC)
- Note. Checking the deleted history, I see that the original creation of the redirect Lucy in the Sky → Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds dates to November 2007. – wbm1058 (talk) 13:58, 12 April 2019 (UTC)
- @Wbm1058: If reverting my bold move in accordance with WP:BRD and making this RM a proposal to move Lucy in the Sky (film) to Lucy in the Sky rather than vice versa is what you're suggesting, I'd be fine with that. Nardog (talk) 14:12, 12 April 2019 (UTC)
- No, I'm just pointing out information that regular editors may not be able to ascertain. However, page views indicate that this redirect did not get many hits when it redirected to the song – wbm1058 (talk) 14:47, 12 April 2019 (UTC)

- Oppose because this is the only article whose base name is "Lucy in the Sky" while "Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds" is unequivocally the only title of the Beatles song. I think we can apply WP:NATURAL here, with "with Diamonds" and the lack thereof being natural disambiguators. The song may well be referred to without "with Diamonds", but that's clearly abbreviatory and the hatnote will suffice. It is not user-friendly to require someone who typed "lucy in the sky" to read about the film an extra click, while someone who typed "lucy in the sky" to read about the song is probably aware that that's not the full title and the hatnote will gently guide them to the right article. - !? – I'm not sure what to make of this pageviews comparison. Seems like there must be bad data or a sotware bug somewhere here. – wbm1058 (talk) 14:47, 12 April 2019 (UTC)
- Or just a crazy amount of hype and promotion surrrounding the upcoming film, as the monthly pageviews suggest. wbm1058 (talk) 14:53, 12 April 2019 (UTC)
