Damien Kane is a professional wrestler best known by, "The Godfather of Extreme" or "The Godfather of Professional Wrestling"

Career

Damien is best known for his time in Extreme Championship Wrestling under the name Godfather of Extreme where he managed and tag-teamed with Devon Storm. After being trained in Walter "Killer" Kowalski's Salem Mass. school as "The Monkey Man Ed Bonzo", he debuted in the IWF in 1980 with a live monkey on his arm during interviews, where he wrestled with David Sammartino and Larry Winters as a heel.

After the IWF, he changed his look from a blonde pretty boy to a demonic presence wearing black leather & spikes where he spent some time in the National Wrestling Federation where he managed D.C. "Mad Dog" Drake as well as Abdulah the Butcher, and Kevin Sullivan.

He has wrestled a fair amount of matches for the NWF and in ECW but was best known as a manager.

In late 1996, he left Extreme Championship Wrestling and started a training camp in Florida were he now resides.

Trivia

Damien worked with Paul Heyman and played a big part in starting his career as a commentator before he became a manager for Damien & D.C. Drake in the National Wrestling Federation as Paul E. Dangerously during the 1980's. He later ended up working for Paul Heyman in ECW.
