- @TheSandDoctor: - Am I missing something? All I can find is Bbb23's original ping (which I replied to). Ian (Wiki Ed) (talk) 14:13, 1 April 2019 (UTC)
- No, I am. I am going to go WP:TROUT myself now for not realizing your reply wouldn't be under his question. --TheSandDoctor Talk 15:15, 1 April 2019 (UTC)
Need help request from Mayakrause7 (talk)
Hello.
I need help with moving my sandbox article to an article posted on Wikipedia. Thank you!

- @Mayakrause7: Looks like you figured that out. Let me know if you have other questions. Ian (Wiki Ed) (talk) 13:43, 1 April 2019 (UTC)
Quick Question
Hi Ian,
Part of my edits to an article got removed due to a copyright problem. This was what the message said: "Your additions to the Preimplantation genetic diagnosis article include passages copied verbatim or nearly verbatim from a non-free source. This was detected by automatic plagiarism detection software. For copyright reasons, some of your contribution was deleted. Please review the Plagiarism and Copyright training module before proceeding further. Thanks."
However, I used a block quote and thought I cited it correctly. Is the problem the source of the quote?
Thanks.

Reply:
Thanks for your input! You mentioned that I should change one of the sentences without it sounding like an opinion. Do you have any suggestions to change the wording? Or would it be better to delete that sentence altogether?
Thank you!

References
Hi, in my sandbox I have added edits to an article that I have/will publish, but when I put in references they all result in a different number (even if I am citing the same article). For example in the Main climates section of my sandbox, I cited Sean Powells journal multiple times and it added a new reference number each time. Is there a way to fix this? Thanks!

Black Tom Explosion
Lead section Black Tom Island The term "Black Tom", referring to an island in the New York Harbor next to the Liberty Island, originates from the dark-skinned fishermen who inhabited the island for many years. [1] Explosion At 2:08 am the first and largest explosion took place, with the second and smaller explosion occurring around 2:40 am.[2]
Johnson Barge No. 17 was the location of one of the first major explosions, which contained 50 tons of TNT and 417 cases of detonating fuses. [3] The detonation wave was traveling at 24,000 feet per second with enough force to lift firefighters out of their boots and into the air.[3] On the island, the explosion destroyed more than 100 railroad cars, 13 warehouses, and leaving a 375-foot-by-175-foot crater at the source of the explosion.[2] Although reports estimate that up to seven people where killed, this is unfactual, the total number of fatalities was five people.[2]
Investigation
Captain Franz von Rintelen, the leader of the sabotage, used time-delayed incendiary devices, or "pencil bombs", to initiate the explosion. [3]

Redirect Advice
Hello Ian,
Last summer I moved my sandbox to the Wikipedia mainspace as the Rainbow Vent Field as a part of a class. However, when I created a new sandbox, the talk page for it redirects to the talk page for Rainbow article. Do you have any advice for what I should do to restore my sandbox's talk page? I'd like to share my sandbox and collaborate with others.
Cheers,
Wünderbrot (talk) 05:42, 11 April 2019 (UTC)
Hello.
I need help with... - Look over our shared sandbox (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/User:BerberichA2/sandbox) and see if the changes we are planning are good and meaningful. Also look at the talk page of the sandbox for some other notes. - See if there are any mistakes - Please let us know for any improvements.

Editing edit summaries
Hi Ian,
I accidentally hit publish before I was done writing an edit summary. I'm wondering if there's any way to edit a previous edit summary if you do what I did or just write the wrong thing or something. If not, is there a recommended protocol of what to do?
Thanks!

Citing Database Journals
Hi Ian,
When I'm looking at sources, a lot of the "credile" sources I'm looking into are coming from my school's online database (like EBSCO). However, when I put these in my citations, they can't be accessed unless people have a login for them. What should I do in these situations? Not post a link and just the journal it came from instead?
Thanks!
