Joseph Kupelwieser moved to draftspace
An article you recently created, Joseph Kupelwieser, does not have enough sources and citations as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your page to draft space (with a prefix of Draft:
before the article title) where you can work on it with minimal disruption. When you feel that it meets our notability and neutrality requirements, and is thus ready for mainspace, please submit it using the Articles for Creation template on the page. - Live and let die... LouisAlain (talk) 10:54, 30 March 2019 (UTC)
- (edit conflict) Hi! There are three references in this article, but not one of them mentions this person. This is a brief biographic listing for a nineteenth-century soldier, this is a link to a book by Rita Steblin on a commercial online bookseller site, and this links to a page on Die Müllerin von Burgos by von Suppé, not on IMSLP as claimed, but on The Classical Composers Database. Not one of the four is (as far as I can see) a reliable source by our standards. I strongly suggest that from now on you create pages in draft space only; that means that if you want to start a page on, say, Josef Giannatassio Del Rio, you do not start it at Josef Giannatassio Del Rio but at Draft:Josef Giannatassio Del Rio. Then, once you believe it is adequately sourced, you can submit it for review. It might make sense to translate only pages that are themselves adequately referenced in the original language. Regards, Justlettersandnumbers (talk) 21:20, 29 March 2019 (UTC)
- Justlettersandnumbers, not marked as a ref, but in external links, is this (zeno), - you click on Biographie and have the bio in table form, you click on Libretto and can read the complete book of Schubert's opera. - What do you miss? Just the formality to use it somehow as inline citation? If that's not enough, look at the German National Library entry, with 9 publications. --Gerda Arendt (talk) 22:00, 29 March 2019 (UTC)
- Hi, Gerda! Why is either of those a reliable source for the content of the article? The catalogue of the Deutsche Nationalbibliothek is a list of book titles with bibliographic information; zeno.org is apparently the website of a company called Contumax GmbH, apparently a small publishing house in Berlin. Neither of them supports the text. Justlettersandnumbers (talk) 23:19, 29 March 2019 (UTC)

Wishes in March

I took a look at Ursula Wendt-Walther, another piece by an aficionado. For now - DYK - I commented out all these details from Nürnberg, please understand. Can return afterwards. The role in La Fenice is miniature, no need to mention, ever, sorry. --Gerda Arendt (talk) 21:27, 2 March 2019 (UTC)
Approved already ;) - After I wrote Lydia Steier, I found that she has a French entry. Anything worth getting over to English. Directly to the article please, and nothing without a source, she's supposed to go to DYK fast ;) --Gerda Arendt (talk) 07:39, 4 March 2019 (UTC)
Thank you! Please write a translate attribution, and I can proofread only later today. --Gerda Arendt (talk) 08:56, 4 March 2019 (UTC)
? on the talk, that the article or part of it was a translation from the French one ;) --Gerda Arendt (talk) 10:11, 4 March 2019 (UTC)
I looked now, took the French to translate to German, result complete nonsense. Critics' speech doesn't translate well. I rephrased one, and reworded the other. The German - what she said - is fine, just completely bland. (+ I hate "musicians and singers", as if singers were no musicians.) All not your fault, I just want to explain changes. --Gerda Arendt (talk) 22:31, 4 March 2019 (UTC)

Thank you! - Here's more tricky: Sophie Clemenceau [1], also featured in Mahler's biography. Stub from scratch? [2] [3], and this is her sister: Bertha Zuckerkandl. --Gerda Arendt (talk) 17:39, 6 March 2019 (UTC)
- Don't you worry about the notability of Sophie Clémenceau? Apart being associated with some others, who was she? I see a speedy deletion request coming miles away. LouisAlain (talk) 03:48, 8 March 2019 (UTC)
RIP Jacques Loussier, heard him three times. Any chance to get some of [4] to his article which is undersourced. Bedtime for me. --Gerda Arendt (talk) 23:16, 6 March 2019 (UTC)
Could you check again if there are things in the article that could use the FM as a ref? Then just copy, ref name="FM". Next wish: this looks like Arpino was outstanding, I made him a red link. --Gerda Arendt (talk) 16:08, 7 March 2019 (UTC)
- Your pace leaves me breathless! I've recently been asked for more articles about women. Here you are: Anne Rey, not entirely completed (refs and external links need to be added). As for Jacques Loussier, I noticed the link you gave was already inserted on his page. I'll see it asap. LouisAlain (talk) 17:23, 7 March 2019 (UTC)
- Sadly, it's the pace at which people die. Thanks for Rey, looks fine, just these one-sentece paragraphs are not best style. There's now a Le Monde obituary for Loussier, - anything we don't have yet? --Gerda Arendt (talk) 18:59, 7 March 2019 (UTC)
- Nothing in the 2 links (France Musique and Le Monde obituary) you gave that isn't already mentionned in the article. LouisAlain (talk) 04:08, 8 March 2019 (UTC)

Returning thread from oblivion. Thank you for Melitta Muszely, a particular gem in March, 35 images to enjoy, thanks to GRuban, - more on my talk, also musing about the hour of death. Today is the first day without a recent death among people I care about, but that will likely change before midnight. --Gerda Arendt (talk) 10:12, 30 March 2019 (UTC)
- One doesn't know the day nor the hour. Musing about death is the sign of a true Schopenhauer follower. Do you want to know a secret? Death isn't a state of being, quite the opposite. To be or not to be is the ultimate answer. We're in the Being or we are not, whether before we come into it or leave it. Death doesn't exist. A Chinese peasant of 5,000 years ago or even Lucy is no more dead than Agnès Varda. LouisAlain (talk) 10:54, 30 March 2019 (UTC)
- Thank you. DYK that the DYK about the person, in 2011, was: ... that Dennis Russell Davies conducted the premiere of the Fifth Symphony Now and in the hour of death by Heinz Winbeck, which reflects Bruckner's Ninth Symphony? --Gerda Arendt (talk) 11:38, 30 March 2019 (UTC)
Practical wish: when Kutsch/Riemens is cited please take the time to find the page in the newest edition. Usually google should be enough: search for "Lastname, Firstname Kutsch". The go to some article which has the full citation, such as Ruthilde Boesch, copy and adjust page number (twice) and name. then use liberally as INLINE citation by name, - that's what your (insert word) want, repeating: INLINE. --Gerda Arendt (talk) 07:41, 31 March 2019 (UTC)

- Well, let it rot where it belongs... LouisAlain (talk) 08:49, 31 March 2019 (UTC)
- Hi there, I am sorry you feel this way. To be honest, I don't like sending those articles to nirvana or whatever you want to call it, because there may be merit in them. However, I can only go by the guidelines and not by "perceived" notability. I DO believe there can be a bias in Wikipedia. There is a very good essay on systemic bias which I recommend reading. As a result, we see articles for some TV singing contest runner-ups easily pass notability and verifiability because there usually is quite a media buzz around them. When I click "reviewed" I know full well that there probably is a 75% chance no one will remember this individual in 2-3 years' time and there won't be much left other than a couple of mediocre songs what won't get played again and this article. At the same time, there are MANY individuals that are worthy an article, but there is just not much to go by in terms of readily available sources. Hence a systemic bias. For example, I watched an architecture documentary a while back and heard of Gerhard Weber. He did not have an English Wikipedia article, so I thought I'd use the German one as starting point. I knew the sources in the German article are insufficient to pass notability "over here". I spread the search over 2 days to find reliable sources to show "significant coverage" as GNG requires. Only then did I start writing the article in my sandbox and only once I added all refs I moved to article space. This is a process that always worked well for me, maybe it works for you too. Just a thought. pseudonym Jake Brockman talk 09:31, 31 March 2019 (UTC)
- Jake, I don't know why we get confusing messages about notability and lack of references. When an opera singer created a role in an important opera she or he is notable. Period. 99% probability that there's also a reference in the Kutsch/Riemens bible of singers. For the German Wikipedia, that's enough. - In this case on page 1623, not hard to find (Google helps, + they go by alphabet, just try page numbers in the url). So please add
<ref name="Kutsch/Riemens">{{cite book | last = Kutsch | first = K. J. | authorlink = Karl-Josef Kutsch | last2 = Riemens | first2 = Leo | authorlink2 = Leo Riemens | url = https://books.google.com/books?id=dsfq_5dFeL0C&pg=1623 | title = Gallos, Hermann | work = [[Großes Sängerlexikon]] | publisher = [[Walter de Gruyter]] | edition = 4 | language = de | year = 2012 | page = 1623 | isbn = 978-3-59-844088-5 }}</ref>
It's Sunday, I have no time to add it. --Gerda Arendt (talk) 12:10, 31 March 2019 (UTC)
- Gerda, you state "When an opera singer created a role in an important opera she or he is notable. " While even this is dubious (depends on which role they created), the article on Herman Gallos doesn't list any roles he created... It isn't up to new page patrollers to check whether the article creator has forgotten to list the most notable facts about the subject. Fram (talk) 06:52, 1 April 2019 (UTC)
- I said I had no time. I had no time to look at the article, but time enough to see where he was linked from when created: Ariadne auf Naxos, Scaramuccio, important role. "Clicking on "What links here?" should not be too difficult for a reviewer to check context. A person who wrote a libretto for Schubert is notable (see further up). - These articles are created to help readers to know more than just German. - Now, I have no time again, just checking my watchlist and out. --Gerda Arendt (talk) 09:24, 1 April 2019 (UTC)

- And that's what I get: Draft:Leopold Ludwig. The problem with those in the know is they often don't have the faintest idea of how uncomprensible it is for amateurs like me. LouisAlain (talk) 17:59, 2 April 2019 (UTC)
- LouisAlain, I'm rather assuming that you've seen enough of these notices recently. So when I today moved Botho von Hülsen, Christian Elsner, Bohumil Herlischka, Elisabeth Lindermeier, Kurt Honolka and Wolfgang Martin Schede to draft space, I did so without sending you a notice each time. I assume that they are anyway on your watchlist? Regards, Justlettersandnumbers (talk) 22:48, 1 April 2019 (UTC)
- Justlettersandnumbers, if I could do better, I would. I have my fun creating pages on Wikipedia where I consider myself a volonteer and not an employee. I don't doubt one second your good faith, you do what you think is appropriate to the situation. Just when I painstackingly try to enrich the project, some people choose to impowerish it. Once the articles are in the Draftpage container I leave them where they are for there's no possibility I could make them better than they were the first time. The only outcome I see of these moves is to contend myself with stubs. My salvation doesn't depend on my participation to Wikipedia. Yours, LouisAlain (talk) 07:34, 2 April 2019 (UTC)
- Justlettersandnumbers, I don't have much time for this, so just one example: many articles have a link to Kurt Honolka, and I strongly believe that an article on him - even if not perfect English and undersourced - serves our readers better than a red link with a fat red notice "was deleted" and a small green hint "is in draft space". He had a decent ill link, Kurt Honolka, but that is gone, and now readers don't even have access to the German, nor know that he IS notable in another language. Also, there seems to be no bot to disconnect in the other languages, so "English" is still shown, but with the above red/green unhelpful information. I'd love to see you change to one of two options: 1) just tag for whatever is missing in an article for a clearly notable subject with interlanguage link connection, or 2) if sending to draft, restore the ill-links. Honolka will be on DYK one of these days. --Gerda Arendt (talk) 08:08, 2 April 2019 (UTC)
- LouisAlain, you say if I could do better, I would but User:Voceditenore explained to you a very simple, easy way to "do better" that you are perfectly capable of doing, and that is to keep these translations in draft space, or in your sandbox until they are properly referenced. Gerda will help you with that, so would Voceditenore if you would follow her advice. WP is not a place to "have fun" while ignoring the policies and guidelines that protect the encyclopedia. I don't think it is fair of us to keep challenging the New Page Patrol people, they are of course also volunteers and are following their guidelines that are there for good reasons. These machine translated articles that Louis produces in vast quantities in extreme haste contain some terrible mistakes, I haven't been drawing attention to them all as Gerda and Voceditenore thought I was being mean, but for instance the article Karl-Heinz Thiemann said he " took over the lodge in Das Rheingold" until I corrected it [5] and Heinz Kruse contained the statement that " he dedicated himself to roles like...the box in Das Rheingold"[6]. Kruse and Thiemann played the roles of LOGE which if you just run it through a translation machine will translate "Loge" as "the lodge" or "the box", and then it gets posted on here like that and we say a singer played a box or took over a lodge in Das Rhinegold. I really think this is unacceptable and the only explanation I can fathom is that Louis does not read these translations through before posting them. I have checked hundreds of these articles for such errors but there are thousands of them and I don't have the time to go through them all and I wonder how many atrocious mistakes like that are now on WP for years or maybe forever. If Louis would only take everyone's advice, slow down and really learn to collaborate with us, his contributions would be very valuable but I don't feel it is acceptable for him to continue to ignore WP policies and guidelines on the basis that he is here to have fun, he isn't an employee and can't do any better.Smeat75 (talk) 11:33, 2 April 2019 (UTC)
- Smeat75, you've convinced me. I understand I'm not up to the En. Wikipedia expectations. For some reason unknown to me, Voceditenor has decided to no longer exchange with me. Probably another case of lost in translation. From now on I won't go any further than stubs like Leopold Ludwig unless you tell me this is also forbiden. When I ramble through this version of Wiki, I cannot but feel disturbed by the horrors I come through but apparently I am the single one entitled to the red carpet treatment for whatever article I now create. I do my best but why should I try to do even better when whatever the case, my translations go direct to the waste container?
- Are you helping me understand I should limit myself to menial tasks such as adding caterories and links to existing articles thanks to http://edwardbetts.com/find_link ?
- Even a stub like Melanie Diener was tagged as lacking notability and refs. whereas there are 5 refs on line, 3 external links and 11 entries in the Authority control. And you expect me to take this project seriously? Aow come on. And I thought Wikipedia was a collective participative encyclopedia. Such a fool I was.
- Since I created over 3,000 pages before your attention was drawn upon me, you may be well advised to delete all the articles I translated without being seriously corrected, just for the sake of en. Wikipedia. Here they are But don't worry, It won't take long before I'm banned from this site. LouisAlain (talk) 12:40, 2 April 2019 (UTC)
- LouisAlain, I removed that tag from Diener, but tell me, why don't you use the one good ref, Kutsch/Riemens, instead of several not-so-good ones. A superficially looking person looks at the first of those, tags and proceeds to the next, and I don't blame them. --Gerda Arendt (talk) 13:03, 2 April 2019 (UTC)
- Gerda Arendt it's not out of obstinacy just I don't know how you do it. So far I have two clues:
Literature by and about LouisAlain in the German National Library catalogue and [7]. Now I must join the dots. I'll try again. LouisAlain (talk) 17:53, 2 April 2019 (UTC)
- Gerda Arendt it's not out of obstinacy just I don't know how you do it. So far I have two clues:
- I didn't say obstinacy, and wouldn't. - I have a script which tells me when a cited biography is not called. When you have a bio from Neue Deutsche Biographie, as for Ludwig, you call it by {{sfn|authorname|year}}. If you have an opera singer, such as Diener, you ask Google for "Diener, Melanie Kutsch" (note last name first, because that's how the book has it), and you will likely find something giving you the page number. Then ... - see somewhere above. If you have no good ref you put the whole thing in a sandbox, User:LouisAlain/sandbox, which I can watch. The convenience of that approach is that I can influence when to move to article space, while today, I had to nominate Geszty, ready or not, last chance for a DYK which she really deserves. (Diener the same, and Honolka). All these great names! Thank you for adding, it's a shame they were missing so far! --Gerda Arendt (talk) 18:08, 2 April 2019 (UTC)
- Geszty is now equipped with some serious reviews. Sadly nothing about the pictured Cleopatra. Another step taken, Schachschneider tomorrow, but then I will need a few days for "my" music. --Gerda Arendt (talk) 15:32, 3 April 2019 (UTC)
- Two new ill-links there ... --Gerda Arendt (talk) 15:33, 3 April 2019 (UTC)
- Are you helping me understand I should limit myself to menial tasks such as adding caterories and links to existing articles - No. I am asking you to do a very very simple thing, keep these translated articles in draftspace or in your sandbox until they are ready. We will help you as we have time. You don't need to wait to be banned. I cannot delete all your articles even if I wanted to, which I don't.Smeat75 (talk) 13:27, 2 April 2019 (UTC)
- Or if you want to create pages in mainspace, just add the references first. Once you've done that, you'll be able to see at once (a) whether the topic is in fact notable by our standards and (b) what information the sources actually provide. If the result of that is either (a) "no" or (b) "not much", you'll know not to waste your time and other people's by persisting with that topic. There is, by the way, nothing but your own obstinacy to prevent you from editing in draft space; my guess is that it's precisely because of that obstinacy that VdT withdrew her rather valuable support from your projects. Justlettersandnumbers (talk) 14:20, 2 April 2019 (UTC)
As regards Voceditenor, little did I know this user was a she. Now that she's left me Ich fühle mich wie Der letzte Mann.
While I was blocked for one week last February, I took the opportunity to translate The Childhood of a Leader which was reviewed with a question relative to the notability of this work (not one iota modified in the page; again I question the seriousness of these reviews). Err... Had I let this translation in the Draft warehouse nobody would have noticed it. Now, see the history of this article and how enriched it has been by another (unregistered) user.
But you've convinced me, the more I create articles the heavier the load on other users and the more criticism I get. And also I participate to Wikipedia for the fun of it (read a violon d'Ingres ) and not to raise the level of knowledge of humankind. I consider it a past-time and not a chore. Now, it has become too complicated for my paltry mental abilities. God bless you if it is your motivation. So from now on I'll create only basic stubs and focus on menial tasks. That should cool the atmosphere but who knows? Sorry for having been such a burden to some other Wikipedians. LouisAlain (talk) 23:48, 2 April 2019 (UTC)

- Please strike that "all" in the last sentence. You are not a burden but an inspiration for me, I just can't keep up with your pace. Melanie Diener, Kurt Honolka, Sylvia Geszty, Trois Chansons (Ravel): great to have these articles, at various stages of development! I restrict myself to one article per day, so the time for Diener and Honolka will come, and for both I can choose, one to be expanded, the other to be freed from draft prison (where nobdy who could help will see it, sadly). Do me a favour: don't leave me alone, and keep creating. Perhaps for a while just restricted to people from Kutsch/Riemens, - there must be 16.000+ left without article. Another solid source is the Vienna State Opera's diligent archive, [8] - not in her article yet. I wonder who the Paul Clemenceau is mentioned in the 3 Chansons, and no article even in French. Take a few wildflowers as thanks for a few articles you created, and please go look on my talk for the line: "go on with life, have a laugh, don't get too upset over this". - As the source is perhaps not reliable, let's translate, and wait for something better until mentioning death on 1 April. She deserves an article anyway. --Gerda Arendt (talk) 08:49, 5 April 2019 (UTC)

Speedy deletion nomination of Erna Denera
If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.
You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.
A tag has been placed on Erna Denera requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a real person or group of people that does not credibly indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please read more about what is generally accepted as notable.
If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator. - Just wait for Franz Naval. LouisAlain (talk) 10:45, 4 April 2019 (UTC)
- LouisAlain, clearly this was a mistaken nomination for deletion – the initial version of the page already contained credible claims of significance. Nevertheless, although you have been repeatedly asked not to create mainspace articles without citations, you again did so here. Why will you not pay attention to what other editors have told you – have they not yet said it clearly enough, or often enough? Or do you actually want someone to take this to ANI and seek a topic-ban of some sort? Anyway, I'll ask you again: if you are not prepared to provide citations that enable readers and other editors to verify the content of pages you create, you should create them in draft space.
- It occurs to me that you may not know how to add a citation. Here is one way: this is the (simple) code you need to add to cite the Großes Sängerlexikon:
<ref name=gs>Karl-Josef Kutsch, Leo Riemens, Hansjörg Rost (2003). [https://books.google.it/books?id=dsfq_5dFeL0C&pg=1103 ''Großes Sängerlexikon''], fourth edition (in German). München: K.G. Saur. {{isbn|3598115989}}.</ref>
- You can place it either in the text or (more neatly) in the reference section, in which case you place either
{{r|gs|page=1103}}
or<ref name=gs />{{Rp|1103}}
at the appropriate point in the text. It is really easy, but if you need help do please ask. Justlettersandnumbers (talk) 14:12, 4 April 2019 (UTC)

- Let me also offer an apology for my perhaps hasty application of a CSD tag to this article (and the other mentioned below). It seems it did not warrant it, and the only reason I placed it was because it seemed so patently obvious to me (which is already unfair) that the subject, as laid out, wasn't going to cut it as an article. That doesn't mean I was correct in doing so, only that I thought I was doing the correct thing, and I am learning myself here. I am grateful for other editors like Justlettersandnumbers and Gerda Arendt for pointing out my mistakes when they occur. Which this was. I am sorry for it and hope you will accept my apology. - Don't worry, A loose necktie, I don't doubt one second your good faith and know you did the move along the guidelines of Wiki which is just fine. I'm too prone to make so many mistakes myself that I won't throw stones to those who sometimes also do. Yours, LouisAlain (talk) 05:38, 8 April 2019 (UTC)
Speedy deletion nomination of Hermine Küchenmeister-Rudersdorf
If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.
You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.
A tag has been placed on Hermine Küchenmeister-Rudersdorf requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia.
- Please, do me a favor: delete, delete. LouisAlain (talk) 10:43, 4 April 2019 (UTC)
- Justlettersandnumbers, you just showed me you don't read my answers to your queries. I tried the drafspace thing and all I got was that. Once again, I do not know how to create a Draftspace page. I'm sorry not to match your level of proficiency with htlm. Thanks for the help regarding how to create a link; I once made it on the fr. Wiki and it worked indeed. I'll keep your link
<ref name=gs>Karl-Josef Kutsch, Leo Riemens, Hansjörg Rost (2003). [https://books.google.it/books?id=dsfq_5dFeL0C&pg=1103 ''Großes Sängerlexikon''], fourth edition (in German). München: K.G. Saur. {{isbn|3598115989}}.</ref>
on my list of "how to". LouisAlain (talk) 16:28, 4 April 2019 (UTC)
- I repeat: don't go to draft space but your sandbox (red link above), and a proper citation of Kutsch/Riemens is further up (in the Gallos thread, to be precise), including how to find a page. Sadly, all the recent ones are on pages not visible. --Gerda Arendt (talk) 16:53, 4 April 2019 (UTC)
Accordion
Hi there, what is your source for this citation in your edit: https://en.wikipedia.org/enwiki/w/index.php?title=Petite_messe_solennelle&diff=721367620&oldid=712629890 – « which sometimes could be replaced by an accordion, according to the first idea of Rossini, but considered too "popular" for a religious framework at the time of the creation. » -- CdaMVvWgS (talk) 09:25, 11 April 2019 (UTC)
Problem solved. LouisAlain (talk) 09:31, 11 April 2019 (UTC)
- Thanks! So there is no recorded evidence of this idea? Or what made you include this idea in the article? -- CdaMVvWgS (talk) 09:34, 11 April 2019 (UTC)
- Please see the history of this article and ask the one who added this part. Thanks. LouisAlain (talk) 09:36, 11 April 2019 (UTC)
- That's why I did (see link above), and according to the revision history it was you...? -- CdaMVvWgS (talk) 09:44, 11 April 2019 (UTC)
- OK, if you say so it was me and I haven't the faintest idea why but I must have translated it from somewhere and didn't make it up. Now, what do you expect? Me begging for your pardon on bended knees? Once again I tell you: I don't know. Please, leave that issue behind, I've now wasted enough time on this. Don't you have anything more constructive to do on Wikipedia but stir the mud? LouisAlain (talk) 09:51, 11 April 2019 (UTC)
- No offense intended! I was just wondering what your source might have been. If you would have remembered the source of your translation, it would have been a great help – if not, so be it. I am researching on this matter for quite a long time, and I was just curious about your edit at that time. At no point I have written any non-constructive comment, so I don't understand your reaction. I am not stirring the mud, I am questioning what I read, and that's important for Wikipedia to be a reliable source. However, I appreciate any help in this matter, and I respect you are not interested in helping me further. Let's stay fair. Thank you! -- CdaMVvWgS (talk) 10:03, 11 April 2019 (UTC)
- Our 2016 performance was with accordion, and I bet we were not first. --Gerda Arendt (talk) 10:36, 11 April 2019 (UTC)

- Nice comment, thanks to you Hughesdarren. For what it's worth, I learnt about Australia through this French comics Sandy et Hoppy in the beginning of the 60s. Only goes to show that what you learn as a kid always stays in your memory. Yours, LouisAlain (talk) 09:04, 13 April 2019 (UTC)

Ways to improve Wolfgang Hirschmann
Hello, LouisAlain,
Thanks for creating Wolfgang Hirschmann! I edit here too, under the username Girth Summit and it's nice to meet you :-)
I wanted to let you know that I have tagged the page as having some issues to fix, as a part of our page curation process and note that:-
Nice - I guess this is a translation from German Wikipedia? If you're familiar with the sources, it would be great if you were able to add some inline citations to make the connections between our assertions and the sources. Cheers
The tags can be removed by you or another editor once the issues they mention are addressed. If you have questions, leave a comment here and prepend it with {{Re|Girth Summit}}

Théâtre de la Michodière
You have done a fabulous job translating the French site into English.
There is one problem.
You have mostly translated "Direction", when referring to the person running the theatre, as "Directed by" (sometimes you have left it as "Direction")
You have also, correctly, used "directed by" to translate "mise en scène".
"Direction", in the first instance, should definitely be something else, but I am not sure what. "Owner Manager" is the obvious solution but it sounds very clunky. Also, at present, it is not true, as the theatre is currently owned by vente-privee.com but managed by Caillat and Hillel.
Also: another thought. Would it be useful to add the English language title to plays that have been adapted into French, the Ray Cooney plays for example?
