Meryame Kitir (born in Maasmechelen, 20 April 1980), is a Belgian politician and member of the Flemish social-democratic party sp.a. She has been a member of the Belgian Chamber of Representatives since June 2007. In 2015, she became the leader for her party in this parliament.[1] She is known for her fiery manner in addressing issues, commonly having to do with the specific problems faced by the vast labour force of the Limburg province she represents.[2][3]
