You don't have to log in to read or edit articles on Wikipedia, but if you wish to acquire additional privileges, you can simply create a named account. It's free, requires no personal information, and lets you:

Note that in order for the first three features to be available, you must have had an account for a certain number of days and made a certain number of edits.

If you edit without using a named account, your IP address (31.49.59.109) is used to identify you instead.

I hope that you, as a Wikipedian, decide to continue contributing to our project: an encyclopedia of human knowledge that anyone can edit. If you need help, check out Wikipedia:Questions, or you can click here to ask for help on your talk page, and a volunteer should respond shortly. We also have an intuitive guide on editing if you're interested. By the way, please make sure to sign and date your talk page comments with four tildes (~~~~).

Stop icon You may be blocked from editing without further warning the next time you remove or blank page content or templates from Wikipedia, as you did at Cnidaria. --Mr Fink (talk) 04:53, 18 April 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Hi User:31.49.59.109, I am restoring the warning to this IP talk page. Please do not remove it as the talk page may be used by multiple users who at different times will share the same IP address. When you sign up for your own account, you can then choose to delete any messages posted to your talk page as you see fit. As for your present editing habits, I am going to re-post the sage advice given to you (while editing as User:31.51.79.213) in September 2018 by Chiswick Chap (this diff) as how best to proceed from here. " Hi, look, you seem to be trying to do something to zoology articles with some goal or purpose in mind, which is likely to be a good and constructive thing. However, you have so far not communicated this goal to any other editors, and you have accordingly been warned and indeed blocked for what we must call quite a disruptive pattern of editing.
You now have, I think, three courses of action.
1) Give up on Wikipedia, people don't let you do what you want. No doubt you'll find somewhere else to express your opinions.
2) Go on trying to force through your personal point of view without discussion. You will be reverted each time, then blocked, and eventually permanently banned from Wikipedia.
3) Explain on a talk page what you are trying to do, and why; name the scientific sources (books, journal papers) you are relying on for these changes; obtain consensus from other editors; and go ahead together to improve the encyclopedia.
I'd say it was plain which of these would be most constructive, and most likely to succeed. All the best, Chiswick Chap (talk) 15:57, 22 September 2018 (UTC)"
