Bondage is a 1991 play by David Henry Hwang which deals with issues of race and racial stereotypes.

Plot

The two characters, Mark and Terri are a client and dominatrix in an Sadism and masochism parlor in Los Angeles. Mark's habit is to ask Terri to dominate him in a particular race: in the beginning of the play he asks her to be a white WASP and he will be an Asian male.

They play through all the racial stereotypes of many different races until they can meet each other simply as Mark and Terri not as their races.
