Lao Aviation Flight 703 was a scheduled domestic passenger flight from Sam Neua to Vientiane, Laos. On 19 October 2000, the Harbin Y-12 aircraft operating the flight crashed into the mountain, 12 km (7.5 mi) from Sam Neua Airport, killing eight out of seventeen people on board.
