Ishwor Pokhrel (Template:Lang-neⓘ) is a current Secreteriat member of Nepal Communist Party and also the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defence in the Second Oli cabinet.
Early life and childhood
Ishwar Pokhrel, born 4 February 1954, is a Nepali politician currently serving as a Secreteriat member of the Nepal Communist Party since the party was founded in 2018. He also served as the General Secretary of NCP's predecessor party, CPN-UML. He is also the founding member of Central Committee of the Communist Party of Nepal-ML and also the founding member of the Central Committee, CPN-UML.
He was the youngest among eight siblings born to Ram Kumari Pokhrel (mother) and Shiva Hari Pokhrel (father) of Mamkha-2, Okhaldhunga district of Nepal. He is married to Mira Dhonju Pokhrel and together has two sons - Shreejan Pokhrel and Swaraj Pokhrel.
