Shershaah is an upcoming 2020 Indian Hindi-language biographical film directed by Vishnuvardhan, written by Sandeep Srivastava and produced by Karan Johar under his banner of Dharma Productions. The film features Sidharth Malhotra in the lead role. The film is based on the life of Captain Vikram Batra, an officer of the Indian Army. The film was announced on 3 May 2018, by film critic and trade analyst Taran Adarsh on his Twitter account. The principal photography will begin in the first week of May 2019 and will be shot in Chandigarh, Palampur, Kashmir and Ladakh. Malhotra began military training for the film on 17 April 2019.[1][2]
