KMET is a commercial radio station in Banning, California, broadcasting to the eastern sections of the Riverside-San Bernardino, California area on 1490 AM. KMET is an ABC radio affiliate and airs talk programming from broadcasters such as Clark Howard, Dave Ramsey, Tyler Jorgenson[1] and Kevin McCullough as well as sports coverage.

They also have Local talent that includes Brett Malak, Aaron Michael Sanchez, Paul Amadeus Lane and Mitch McClellan, Which gives them a dynamic mix of local and national programs.

KMET began in 1945 as KPAC for the nearby Southern Pacific Railroad, but the call sign was changed in the 1950s to represent the "MET-ropolis" of Riverside which is 30 miles from Banning and "he-MET" for nearby Hemet, California 15 miles to the south.

Prior to July 2007, KMET aired a Smooth Jazz music format branded as "Your Smooth Oasis". Before that, formats included a Country format, an all-sports format, and a middle of the road format called "The Mighty Met", in honor of the nickname of the Los Angeles radio station which formerly had this callsign, KMET 94.7.

Up through the 2011-2017 NHL Season, KMET was the Inland Empire radio affiliate of the Los Angeles Kings. It is also a radio affiliate for the Los Angeles Rams and Los Angeles Lakers.
