The concepts and themes of an anthology depicts it as an "unusual", "strange", and "mysterious" metaphors. The stories combine elements of horror, thriller, mystery, supernatural, psychological, satirical, science fiction, and dark-modern fantasy, while its visual and artworks for the webtoon are entirely in monochromatic with minimal colour tones.

Unlike his previous webtoons, it features several short stories follows characters (and cameos from previous webtoons), who find themselves in strange, surreal, and unusual experiences, usually involving bizarre creatures and supernatural entities or witnessed to unexpected incidents and absurdist phenomenon, often concluding with a nonsense or surprise ending.

A major influences on his works was inspired by Korean horror films, and by the works from weird fiction authors, including Stephen King, Junji Ito, Neil Gaiman, R. L. Stine (who is an author of Goosebumps), and Franz Kafka, as well as horror-thriller television series franchises, such as The Twilight Zone, The X-Files, Supernatural, Stranger Things, and film works of Tim Burton, M. Night Shyamalan, Darren Aronofsky, Alfred Hitchcock, and Stanley Kubrick.

In June of the same year, the omnibus film Horror Stories 2 was released. One of the stories is adapted from The Cliff.
