Tuluva Brahmin
Appearance
Tulu Brahmins or Tuluva Brahmins are the inhabitants of Tulu Nadu.
They consist of following sub-sects.[1]
- Sthanika Brahmins , also called "Sthanika Tulu Brahmins" ; and/or "Tulu Brahmins" are the original inhabitants of Tulu Nadu whose history predates 380 B.C.[2]
The remaining brahmins of tulunadu are immigrant exodus from other regions especially from ahichatra in northern India.
First migration: Later part of the 9th century A.D.
Second migration: 11th century A.D.
