Seeger and Alain Aspect
Is it true that, in his book "the Quark and the Jaguar" Murray Gell-Mann "settles his account" with singer Pete Seeger and mention the experiment of Alain Aspect without naming him ?
2011 publication in linguistics
- Gell-Mann, Murray; Ruhlen, Merritt (10 October 2011). "The origin and evolution of word order". Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences. 108 (42): 17290–17295. doi:10.1073/pnas.1113716108.
The article peters out after the 1980s; it appears he's still doing academic work. (Abstract at http://www.pnas.org/content/108/42/17290.abstract; looking for full text.) 23.83.37.241 (talk) 23:56, 18 November 2017 (UTC)

ITN proposal cleanup
According to the comments of the In the News proposal (Wikipedia:In the news/Candidates#RD: Murray Gell-Mann) some sources are missing. Please be free to indicate give more details here. --MaoGo (talk) 20:13, 25 May 2019 (UTC)
- Well I missed that most of the lines lacking sources have a template. If there are other concerns that are not touched by the templates, indicate it here. --MaoGo (talk) 20:21, 25 May 2019 (UTC)
I took a stab at filling in the citations asked for. I have to go do other stuff now, but the last couple shouldn't be that hard to supply. Also, the organization needs work: the distinction between "career" and "scientific contributions" is not clear. XOR'easter (talk) 21:05, 25 May 2019 (UTC)
