Hemchand Yadav Vishwavidyalaya formerly known as Durg University is a state university in Durg, Chhattisgarh, India. The University has come into existence after the bifurcation of existing Pandit Ravishankar Shukla University, Raipur and the jurisdiction of the University comprises 119 affiliated colleges[1] situated in the districts of Durg, Bemetara, Balod, Rajnandgaon and Kabirdham.

The university is located in old Girls’ PG College Camus Building, Raipur Naka, Durg[2].The university is named for Hemchand Yadav.[1]
