K. P. Sekar also known as Rudrapathy Sekar is a dubbing artist in the Southern Indian film industry. He lent his voice for actors in Tamil industry including Shahrukh Khan.[1][3][4] He is recipient of the Tamil Nadu State Film Award by Government of Tamil Nadu.[5]

Career

Sekar is born in Tamil family. His father K. P. Rudrapathy works under yesteryear director A. P. Nagarajan.[1] Sekar start his career for child artist and he lent his voice to child artist. He made his debut with straight Tamil film Pavithra (1994) lending his voice to actor Ajith Kumar's character, in his second venture's. His major break was with Baahubali (franchise) lending his voice to actor Prabhas for Amarendra Baahubali character. He also dubbed Vivek Oberoi for a film Vivegam.[3] His other major works Kadhal Desam, Ullam Ketkumae, Payanam. He won the Tamil Nadu State Film Award for Best Male Dubbing Artist for Malarinum Melliya (2011).[5]. He majorly dubbed in Tamil and he gives Tamil voice to Telugu, Hindi and English dubbed films, including famous-Marvel Comics Universe films as Deadpool (franchise), Ant-Man and the Wasp, X-Men: (franchise) for young Charles Xavier actor James McAvoy. He dubbed actor Ram Charan's blockbuster Telugu Film Maaveeran' to Tamil voice.[4]

He dubbed in Tamil famous Hindi TV show Kaun Banega Crorepati Season 2 by actor Sharukh Khan, the show telecast by Vijay TV.[1] He acted few Tamil films Kodaikanal, Yennai Arindhaal, where he played police inspector and Adanga Maru.[5]

Personal life

Sekar married to Gayathri and has two sons- Akshanth Tej and Vilva.[1]
