Frontiers in Physics is an open access peer-reviewed scientific journal in physics publishing peer-reviewed papers and review articles in multidisciplinary topics of physics. It was established in 2013 and is published by Frontiers Media. The editor-in-chief is Alex Hansen (Norwegian University of Science and Technology). According to the Journal Citation Reports of the Clarivate Analytics Web of Science, Frontiers in Physics has an Impact Factor of 1.895 in 2018. [2] Based on the Elsevier's Scopus, ths journal has a CiteScore of 2.48 in 2018.[3]

Previously, this journal had been included in Emerging Sources Citation Index since 2015.[4] The journal has been indexed by Web of Science[2], Scopus[3], Astrophysics Data System, Chemical Abstract Service, and INSPIRE-HEP[1] since 2018. Frontiers Media was included in Jeffrey Beall's list of predatory publishers in 2016, which caused a demand for opening a academic misconduct case against him, so Beall removed his list of predatory publishers in January 2017.[5]
