Austromyrtus is a genus of 3 species of shrubs in the myrtle family Myrtaceae. They are found along the east coast of Australia, in Queensland and New South Wales. Of the three species, A. tenuifolia is the one most commonly grown. The fruits of A. dulcis have a hint of cinnamon flavouring.
Most species formerly classified in Austromyrtus are now placed in the genus Gossia. The species formerly known as Austromyrtus lasioclada, which is common in northern New South Wales and Queensland, is now known as Lenwebbia lasioclada.
