Nineta Barbukescu (born 24 February 1968) is the current Ambassador of Romania to Australia, New Zealand, Fiji, Samoa, Solomon Islands, Tuvalu, Vanuatu and Kiribati. She was appointed Ambassador of (Romania) in September 2013, after having previously as Director General for Export Controls Departament at ANCEX Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Romania from January 13 2013-September 2013. Nineta is a career diplomat, having worked at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Romania for over 20 years (since 1997). Nineta was a law student at the Law Faculty of the University of Bucharest, graduating with a Bachelor in International Public Law in 1992.
