The 2019 Arizona Diamondbacks season is the franchise's 22nd season in Major League Baseball and their 22nd season at Chase Field in Phoenix, Arizona as members of the National League West Division. They are managed by Torey Lovullo in his third season with the Diamondbacks. The Diamondbacks are the first team in Major League history to have the road opener against one reigning pennant winner (Dodgers) and the home opener against the other (Red Sox) in the same season. They also broke a league record alongside the Philadelphia Phillies this season for most home-runs in one game, smashing a franchise record 8 home-runs out of 13 total in a 13–8 win on June 10.[1]
