Clitus is a masculine given name. It is the Latinized form of the ancient Greek name Kleitos, meaning "splendid, famous" in Ancient Greek. [1] It is pronounced KLY-TUS, with the "I" making the same vowel sound as in "fine." The name sounds like Clyde and Clive and rhymes with Titus.
