Lifumpa Yande Mwandwe (born 29 December 2000) is an English-Zambian footballer who plays as a forward or winger for Cymru Premier side Newtown, on loan from Shrewsbury Town.

Career

Mwandwe joined the Shrewsbury Town youth system in 2014,[2] making his professional debut whilst still a first-year scholar at the age of sixteen, as a last-minute substitute for Carlton Morris in a 3–0 victory against West Bromwich Albion U21s in an EFL Trophy group-stage match on 3 October 2017.[3]

In July 2018, he trained with the Zambia national under-20 team, his first experience of his parents' homeland in over a decade.[4]

He was given a first professional contract by Shrewsbury in May 2019.[5]

On 1 August 2019, Mwandwe joined Cymru Premier side Newtown on loan until January 2020.[6]

Personal life

Mwandwe was born in London to parents hailing from Zambia.[2][4]
