Thomas Ian Bailey (born 17th April 1993) known professionally as Tom Bailey, is an English singer, composer, guitarist and record producer.
Early life and career
Tom Bailey started learning classical guitar at age 8 and electric guitar at age 12. In 2010 he left school and began studying at the Institute of Contemporary Music Performance In London, England.
In 2015, Bailey began his singing career when he re-recorded and performed an original cover of Fade into You with producer Bjonr.[1] Fade into you was originally by the rock group Mazzy Star, from their album So Tonight That I Might See. The song was released on Spinnin' Records sublabel, Source Recordings. It was his first time collaborating with Bjonr, the second was in 2016 when he featured on the song "Broken", which was released via the Spinnin' Records sublabel, Source Recordings.[2]
In April 2017, Bailey featured on the chill house song "Waiting" by producer Bjonr, as a vocalist.[3] The song was released Tipsy Records.[4] It was his third time collaborating with Bjonr. Two months later in July 2017 Tom co-wrote and performed the original song "Your Love"[5] The song was produced by Boris Way, who was from the same publishing company as Bailey at the time.[6] The song was created when Tom sent Boris Way a demo, which was eventually signed by Warner Music and sent for radio airplay.[6]
