The 2019–20 season is Liverpool's 128th season in existence, and their 58th consecutive season in the top flight of English football. It is also the club's 28th consecutive season in the Premier League. The club will compete in the UEFA Champions League, Premier League, FA Cup, and EFL Cup. Liverpool will also compete in the FA Community Shield, having finished second in the 2018–19 Premier League. By winning the 2018–19 UEFA Champions League, the club earned the right to participate in the UEFA Super Cup and the FIFA Club World Cup. The 2019–20 season covers the period from 1 July 2019 to 30 June 2020.
