Lake Heihai is a small lake in Golmud County, Haixi Prefecture, Qinghai Province, in western China. It is located in the Kunlun Mountains at an elevation of about 4,300 m (14,100 ft) above sea level. It stretches about 12 km (7.5 mi) from east to west and 5 km (3.1 mi) north to south. The deepest point is 107 m (351 ft) below its surface. It is the source of the Kunlun River, the upper stretch of the Golmud River.
