Petr Chaadaev (ski jumper)

Petr Chaadaev, in Belorussian Петр Чадаев (born January 21, 1987., Moscow) is a White Russian ski jumper who has competed since 2001.

Petr made his debut on November 17, 2001 in Continental Cup, in Kuusamo, and he reached the 50th position. On January 26, 2002 he was 16th on the Junior World Championship, in Schonach. The next season he reached a 17 th position in Continental Cup, and so he gained 14 points in the COC overall classification. On February 24, 2004 he partecipated on the Ski Flying WC, in the single event he reached the 44th position. The next, the 2004/05 season was Chaadaev's best: he gained 50 points in the COC, so he was 81. in the end of the season. He started also in the Nordic Ski WC, in Obertsdorf. On February 10, 2005 he was 56th in the qualification. In the team competiton the White Russian team was 15th. Chaadaev's jump was one of the worst jumps in the competition. They (Ivan Sobelev, Dmitry Afanasenko, Maksim Anisimov and Chaadaev) were the last indeed, but the Ukrainian competitors actually didn't jump, so they hadn't a single point.

On December 2005, he gained four points in the FIS Cup, so he could start in the Ski Jumping World Cup. He partecipated on the Vierschanztournée, and he was 46th in Garmisch-Partenkirchen and Bischofshofen. His personal best rank is a 45th rank, he reached it in Oslo. In this season, in Bad Mitterndorf he jumped a new Belarus record, his jump was 197.5 metres long.

In Torino Chaadaev was disqualified in the qualification, and they didn't started a team.

In 2007 Ski Jumping World Cup, in Kuusamo, on November 24 he was 51st. In the COC he has now 17 points, and he is 55th in the overall claasification.
