Harris Academy Ockendon[1] (formerly The Ockendon Academy) is an academy school in South Ockendon, Essex. In April 2009, the school became designated as a Training School.
The Headteacher Is Jo Rainey.
In August 2010, the school received the highest pass rate in its GCSE examinations to date, with 98% achieving A*-C grades.
On January 1, 2011, the school was renamed from ‘The Ockendon School’ to ‘The Ockendon Academy’ following an Academy conversion.
The school was downgraded to good following an Ofsted inspection in February 2014.
On September 1, 2019, the Academy was renamed from ‘The Ockendon Academy’ to ‘Harris Academy Ockendon’ after joining the Harris Federation.
