Allison Barber, Ph.D. is the Chancellor of Western Governors University Indiana. She previously served as president of Sodenta, was an adjunct at Georgetown University,[1] and was the Deputy Assistant Secretary of Defense for Internal Communications in the United States Department of Defense from 2003 to 2008.[2]

Barber serves on the board of the Elizabeth Dole Foundation,[3] Techpoint,[4] the Fellowship of Christian Athletes Golf Ministries[citation needed], and the Pentagon Federal Credit Union Foundation.[citation needed] She was named Nonprofit Communicator of the Year by PR News,[5] as well as a "Woman of Influence" by the Indianapolis Business Journal.[6]

Early life and education

Barber went to Hammond Baptist High School and studied education at Tennessee Temple University. She received a master of science in education at Indiana University Bloomington and a doctorate of leadership at Tennessee Temple University.
