Waits River, the river

Waits River is a village in the town of Topsham, Vermont.[1][better source needed] The village includes a white Methodist church, several barns and sheds, and several houses.

Photographs of the village during the foliage season are iconic and have been popular since at least the 1960s. The earliest known postcard of the village is from 1914.[2]

Images of the village are used in jigsaw puzzles, calendars and other media where rural Vermont picturesqueness is desired.[tone]
