Shubh Mangal Zyada Saavdhan is an Indian upcoming 2020 Hindi-language romantic comedy film directed by Hitesh Kewalya and starring Ayushmann Khurrana. It is a spin-off of the 2017 film Shubh Mangal Saavdhan also featuring Khurrana. Based on the concept of homosexuality, the story revolves around a gay man played by Khurrana. The film is jointly produced by Aanand L. Rai, Bhushan Kumar and Himanshu Sharma. Shubh Mangal Zyada Saavdhan stars Jitendra Kumar, Gajraj Rao and Neena Gupta in other pivotal roles. The shooting of the film commenced from 10 September 2019. It is scheduled to be theatrically released on 13 March 2020.

Announcement
The film was announced on 7 May 2019 by Khurrana and Rai. A day later the title Shubh Mangal Zyada Saavdhan was announced.
Casting
Ayushmann Khurrana announced his casting on 7 May 2019. He also revealed that he will be portraying a gay man.
For the role of Khurrana's love intrest, actors Rajkummar Rao and Kartik Aaryan were approached, but both of them declined it. Rao already had film several projects in pipeline at that time including Roohi Afza and was shooting for Turram Khan whereas Aaryan was shooting for his upcoming film with Sara Ali Khan and after finishing it, was to shot for Pati, Patni Aur Woh too. The latter had signed for Dostana 2 and Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 as well. In July 2019, Jitendra Kumar was signed for the role.
Filming
Principal photography of the film began on 10 September 2019.[1][2]
Release
A teaser was released on 9 May 2019 giving the theme of the film and release date as 14 February 2020.[3] On 11 September 2019, it was announced that the film now will be released on 13 March 2020.[4]
