Tremon Smith (born July 20, 1996) is an American football cornerback for the Green Bay Packers. He played college football for Central Arkansas, and was drafted by the Chiefs in the sixth round of the 2018 NFL Draft.

Early years

Smith attended and played high school football at Saks High School.[1]

College career

In 2017, Smith had 41 tackles and five interceptions, when he was a third-team FCS All-America selection. In his four years at Central Arkansas, Smith had 15 interceptions.[2]

Professional career

2018 season

Smith was drafted by the Kansas City Chiefs in the sixth round (196th overall) of the 2018 NFL Draft.[3] His rookie, he primarily played as a kick returner and other special teams units, but was also a cornerback. During the season, he had 33 returns for 886 net yards for a 26.85 average.[4] He was named to the NFL All-Rookie Team as a returner.[5]

2019 season

Prior to the 2019 season, Smith was moved from cornerback to running back.[6] However, after the preseason, he was moved back to cornerback. He was waived on September 14, 2019.
