Information icon Hello, I'm Frosty. I wanted to let you know that I undid one of your recent contributions, such as the one you made with this edit to Ian Mahinmi, because it didn’t appear constructive to me. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thanks. ~Frosty (Talk page) 22:46, 6 August 2014 (UTC)[reply]

December 2014 - reverted an edit

Hello, I have reverted the edit of "19:28, 2014 November 24" made by "97.65.103.250" to article List of moments of inertia, for the list entry "Rod of length L and mass m, axis of rotation at the end of the rod". The edit replaced the scalar moment of inertia formula with three for axes of rotation - I(x), I(y), and I(z). Unfortunately:

  • the new formulas used a new undefined variable "r" not defined in the item description,
  • the axes of rotation were not described or shown in the figure (but are typically done in the other entries involving I about three axes)
  • the variable L defined in the Description and Figure did not appear in any formula,
  • and the formula for I(y) appeared to actually =0 if every assumption of the entry's Description (w=0) was invoked.

I think the edit was on the right track, but incomplete and confusing for someone looking for the scalar moment of inertia for this item. Please refer to the Talk:List of moments of inertia entry "Rod of length L and mass m, axis of rotation at the end of the rod" for more information. Welcome to Wikipedia. Although everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia, your addition of one or more external links to the page Speculative evolution has been reverted.
Your edit here to Speculative evolution was reverted by an automated bot that attempts to remove links which are discouraged per our external links guideline. The external link(s) you added or changed (http://http://amphiterra.weebly.com/) is/are on my list of links to remove and probably shouldn't be included in Wikipedia.
If you were trying to insert an external link that does comply with our policies and guidelines, then please accept my creator's apologies and feel free to undo the bot's revert. However, if the link does not comply with our policies and guidelines, but your edit included other, constructive, changes to the article, feel free to make those changes again without re-adding the link. Please read Wikipedia's external links guideline for more information, and consult my list of frequently-reverted sites. For more information about me, see my FAQ page. Information icon Hello. Your recent edit to Vanessa (name) appears to have added the name of a non-notable entity to a list that normally includes only notable entries. In general, a person, organization or product added to a list should have a pre-existing article before being added to most lists. If you wish to create such an article, please first confirm that the subject qualifies for a separate, stand-alone article according to Wikipedia's notability guideline. Thank you. Could u please unblock? the person making the stupid edits probably isn't here at the univ. anymore, there was a summer program earlier in the year.

In answer to the comments by this (shared) IP while blanking this page:
We have not blocked the entire campus; we have blocked one IP address that very clearly is not being monitored or controlled appropriately by campus authorities to prevent its use to vandalize Wikipedia. The block is temporary, but long enough to provide some protection to the project from continued vandalism from unregistered users of this IP address. Anyone using the address who wishes to edit constructively may log into a registered account to do so.
Do not blank this page, please. General Ization Talk 00:13, 4 November 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, I'm ToBeFree. Wikipedia is written by people who have a wide diversity of opinions, but we try hard to make sure articles have a neutral point of view. Your recent edit to Coaxial rotors seemed less than neutral to me, so I removed it for now. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. ~ ToBeFree (talk) 19:07, 23 September 2019 (UTC)[reply]
