Culturally Odia films

The following list comprises films may or may not produced by Odisha but is strongly associated with Odia culture. On February 2019 Odisha government cleared Odia film Policy a bill decided to provide subsidy up to Rs 2.5 crore to filmmakers of Odia, English, Hindi or other language films that would promote Odisha and its culture, heritage and tourist destinations in their films. The decision was taken to encourage the filmmakers to shoot in Odisha.[16] The films in this list should fulfill at least 3 of the following criteria:

  • The film is adapted from a Odisha source material.
  • The story is at least partially set in the Odisha.
  • The film was at least partially shot in the Odisha.
