Categories to Add

  • I would like to add a Victories category that outlines all the major Surfrider victories regarding coastal protection since the organizations inception.
  • I thought it would also be interesting to include a Notable Members section

"Victories" would be POV. And "Notable members" would only be those who have existing Wikipedia articles, or would qualify for them. I am seriously considering removing the link farm which is the list of chapters. Corvus cornix 22:43, 7 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Criticism section?

I know it might cater to the biased editors, but I'm just throwing the idea out there for a criticism section. Surfrider's involvement in California's Marine Life Protection Act process has not been without controversy. They have made pro-closure statements claiming to represent fishermen and water-users besides surfers, and this has caused a lot of outrage among socal fisherman who feel that they are being disenfranchised by misrepresentation.

As long as it is balanced and referenced, a criticism section may be appropriate. Alanraywiki (talk) 23:06, 21 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Notability

Considering the lack of referenced (tag was just put on, so we can give it some time) and the multitude of self-references are cause for concern of this organization. Also the creator's lack of presence (guess at the time the requirements for new editor creations did not yet exist)is some doubt too.Lihaas (talk) 08:14, 11 October 2018 (UTC)[reply]
