Template:1904 college football records The 1904 season saw the start of Joe Maddock's coaching career. Maddock had been a key player for Michigan during the 1902–03 seasons. The 1904 team outscored their opposition 301–38 on their way to a 7–1 record. They were also notable for playing three games in eight days in three different cities. On October 29 they played at Denver and won 12–0. Two days later they won at Wyoming 23–0, and then five days later they won at home against the Soldiers from Fort Douglas 107–5.[1]
