Jethalal Champaklal Gada, is a fictional character which appears on the Sab TV sitcom Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah, portrayed by Dilip Joshi since the inception of the show in July 2008.

Jethalal Gada first appeared on the show in the very first episode on 28th July 2008.
Characterisation
Jethalal Gada is a Gujarati businessman born in Bachau, Gujarat. He lives in Gokuldham Society, Powder Gully in Mumbai, with his wife Daya Gada and son Tipendra "Tapu" Gada. His father Champaklal Gada joins them in Mumbai in the later episodes.
Jethalal is shown to be often running himself into various misadventures, mostly through no fault of his. Early on the show focused mainly on his misfortunes and how he handled them but later on as the show progressed, other characters' issues were also dealt with on the show.
He has a wife, Daya Gada, who calls him 'Tapu ke Papa' and never by his name. He more often than not gets irritated by her behaviour and constant blabbering. Jethalal is fond of various food items made by Daya Gada. Tapu Gada is his mischievous kid and is mostly seen annoying him on purpose, though both maintain a playful father-son relationship.
Jethalal has to bear the brunt of his father, Champaklal Gada, whenever he is found to have done something wrong.
