Mian Faisal Rashid[4] (born 6 September 1972) is a British Labour Party politician. He is the Member of Parliament (MP) for Warrington South,[5] and was first elected at the 2017 general election.[6]
Rashid was educated at the National College of Business Administration and Economics in Lahore.[7] He was the Mayor of Warrington in 2016.[8]
He is on two parliamentary committees in the Commons, the International Trade Committee and the Committees on Arms Export Controls (formerly Quadripartite Committee).[9]
Rashid supports a second referendum on Britain's EU membership and would campaign for Remain.[10]
Mian Faisal Rashid supports referring Min Aung Hlaing, Commander in Chief of the Burmese military to the International Criminal Court for genocide.[11]
