Personal Fest is a major Argentinian music festival, held annually since 2004. It is named after its main sponsor, Personal. It was originally held in the neighborhood Puerto Madero, and since 2006 is held at Club Ciudad de Buenos Aires, both places in Buenos Aires city. It is considered the most important international music festival in the country with more than 55,000 persons attending in 2006. [1] [2].


2004 festival

Acts appearing in 2004 included Primal Scream, Blondie, Morrisey, Pet Shop Boys, PJ Harvey, The Mars Volta (featuring John Fruscinante from the Red Hot Chili Peppers) , Andy Smith, Electronic Six, Goran Bregovic and others. Locals included Gustavo Cerati and others.

2005 festival

The 2005 festival included Duran Duran, who headlined the Saturday night. The Friday saw US pop-punk Good Charlotte take the stage followed by the legendary Scottish band Simple Minds. The edition also had perfomances of Macy Gray, The Crystal Method, Plastilina Mosh and others. Between the local bands Babasonicos, Catupecu Machu and Aterciopelados were present.


2006 festival

The 2006 edition attracted approximately 55,000 people on both the Friday and Saturday. The two biggest stages being the Main Stage and the Personal Mania Stage, along with other two stages.

Acts performing this year included Black Eyed Peas, New Order, Madness, Ian Brown, The Rasmus, The Bravery and Carlinhos Brown.

Argentinian acts performing at 2006 included Arbol, La Portuaria, Emmanuel Horvilleur.
