Satyavathi rathod popularly known by her TV screen name as Mangli (born 10 June 1994) is an Indian singer, television anchor and actress.[1][1] She is popular for her traditional banjara attire. Her popularity on YouTube for her Telangana songs and performs at festival events in India and abroad.[1] She is presently working with a Telugu-language web channel, Mic TV, featuring in hugely popular video songs on special occasions like Bathukamma, Bonalu, Sankranthi, Telangana Formation Day, Ugadhi, Sammakka Sarakka Jatara etc.

Early life

Mangli was born in a Banjara community. She did her diploma in Carnatic Music from SV University.[2] Her father encouraged her to become a singer from a young age. Inspired by her teachers, she wanted to become a music teacher.

Career

Mangli moved to Hyderabad to pursue her career of becoming either as a music teacher or singer.

V6 News

She got her first break in her career in 2013, when she was invited as a guest artist on Telugu News channel, V6 News for a Dasara festival special show called as Dhoom Dham. Her popular show on V6 News, where she played as Maatakari Mangli, on the satirical news show, Teenmaar News, along with Bithiri Sathi and Savithrakka was a big hit. Bithiri Sathi calls her as Mangolee and both are always at loggerheads on Teenmaar News.

HMTV

She worked with HMTV news channel's, Jordar News on the satirical news show along with Sujatha.[3]

Mic TV

She is presently working with a web channel, MIC TV as an anchor and folk song singer. She interviews celebrities called as Mangli Muchata with. She sings songs on Telangana festivals like Bathukamma, Bonalu, Telangana Formation Day etc. that are very popular on Mic TV's YouTube channel with millions of views.

Her latest song, Orugallu Kotanadugu, for 2018 Telangana Formation Day has become a huge hit.[4][5]
