Biography

A trained stage actor, Brad's first serious acting challenge came in a Grade 8 production of Hamlet, where he and his brother were left by the director to decide which one was to play Horatio, and which Laertes. After a brief discussion it was determined that Brad would play Horatio, and Chris Laertes; and with a handshake, they pledged to never again compete for roles. Brad now considers himself more of a character actor; while Chris concentrates his considerable dramatic abilities to more "leading man" roles.

Growing up in Lucan, Ontario, Home of The Black Donnellys also instilled in Brad a love of the dramatic.

After a memorable high school career at Medway High in Arva, Ontario, where Brad was Students' Council President and Mascot, he and his brother attended The University of Waterloo theatre programme. Waterloo, not widely acclaimed for its Drama programme, offered Brad an extraordinary opportunity to round out his acting skills with comprehensive study in all technical aspects of the stage, and extensive theatre history courses. By the end of his study at Waterloo, Brad had appeared in 26 productions (a department record) and become one of the youngest university level theatre instructors in Canada, teaching First Year acting for 3 years.

After moving to Toronto, Ontario Brad joined Skye Management and. almost immediately, landed the role of Carter Travis alongside his twin brother Chris (Cody Travis) in the MTV series Undressed. They were featured in two Season 6 story lines, and appeared in 10 episodes. Brad then went on to work with fellow University of Waterloo grads in Studio 180's highly acclaimed Canadian Theatre Premier of The Laramie Project (2003), as well as the equally successful 2004 remount. Studio 180 is an ensemble theatre company named after the black box performance space HH 180 at the University of Waterloo.

Brad then went on to host a home improvement show with his brother Chris on OLN (Outdoor Life Network) called The Outhouse. The show was entirely improvised, and pitted the twins against each other in two separate exterior home renovations over the course of two days. Acclaimed for its genre-busting slapstick style, ""The Outhouse"" won Bronze at Worldfest for ""Best Reality Based Programme""

His first audition since moving to Calgary, AB landed him a principle role in Decoys 2. As ""Nick Dean"", Brad fulfilled a lifelong dream to star in a horror movie.

Brad enjoys documentaries, horror movies, tie-your-own bow-ties, and indie rock. He also enjoys playing algebraic chess over email with his best friend, drummer Doug MacGregor of The Constantines.

When not acting, Brad is the Regional Manager of Alberta for Steam Whistle Brewing.
