Prithviraj is an upcoming 2020 Indian Hindi-language historical period drama film directed by Chandraprakash Dwivedi and produced by Aditya Chopra under his respective banner Yash Raj Films. The film features Akshay Kumar and Manushi Chhillar in the lead roles. The film is based on the life and heroism of the fearless and mighty King Prithviraj Chauhan played by Kumar. The film was officially announced on 9 September 2019 by Kumar on the occasion of his birthday with its teaser released on social media. Principal photography commenced on 15 November 2019. The film is scheduled to be released theatrically on 13 November 2020 on the Diwali festival.[1][2]
