Everyday Life is the upcoming eighth studio album by Coldplay, scheduled to be released on 22 November 2019. It is set to be a double album, with the first half titled Sunrise and the other Sunset.[1]
Promotion
On 13 October 2019, black-and-white posters featuring the band teasing the album, and the date "22 November 1919" appeared in various cities around the world, including São Paulo, Berlin, Hong Kong and Sydney.[2] On 19 October, a video teaser featuring the same theme was also released.[3][4] Two days later, several fans began receiving typewritten notes from the band in the mail.[5]

— Coldplay, in a typewritten note to their fans
On 23 October, the track listing was announced by the band in the advertising sections of several different newspapers around the world. This included the North Wales Daily Post, where guitarist Jonny Buckland "once had a holiday job".[6]
Live performances
During an online press conference on 1 November, Coldplay announced they will perform Everyday Life in two shows in Amman, Jordan on 22 November, the release date of the album. [7] The first show will showcase band performing the first half of the album Sunrise at 4:00 a.m. GMT, and the second show will feature the performance of Sunset at 2 p.m. GMT. [8] The events, which will be livestreamed on YouTube, will mark the band's first performance in the country. Both performances are being promoted and advertised as YouTube Originals. On November 18th, the band announced a one-off show at the London Natural History Museum on November 25th for UK fans only. [9]

"Orphans" and "Arabesque" were released as the album's lead singles on 24 October 2019 on the Annie Mac show on BBC Radio 1.[10][11] "Everyday Life" was released as the album's third single on 3 November 2019.

- Track 6 can be transliterated as Bani Adam in latin script; the name of a poem by Iranian poet Saadi Shirazi in Persian. The expression translates literally to "Children of Adam", or "Human Beings" within the context of the poem. Verses of the poem are recited in the song by a background female voice.
