DYK for Maspalomas Station

On 16 July 2019, Did you know was updated with a fact from the article Maspalomas Station, which you recently created, substantially expanded, or brought to good article status. The fact was ... that 50 years ago today, Maspalomas Station in the Canary Islands was the first ground station to make contact with the Apollo 11 astronauts in Earth orbit, about 16 minutes into the flight? The nomination discussion and review may be seen at Template:Did you know nominations/Maspalomas Station. You are welcome to check how many page hits the article got while on the front page (here's how, Maspalomas Station), and it may be added to the statistics page if the total is over 5,000. Finally, if you know of an interesting fact from another recently created article, then please feel free to suggest it on the Did you know talk page.

Update

Hello Cnbrb. I'm sorry you didn't get more response to this. Participation in that project has slowed in the last few years. I wanted to let you know that I did change the classic series articles back to the way they were. Thanks for your question and please don't be discouraged by the lack of response. Cheers. MarnetteD|Talk 16:55, 23 September 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Hi @MarnetteD: - thanks for getting in touch! It's not really a problem, I just wanted to question it as a matter of naming convention as I wasn't sure it was a good idea. Also wasn't sure if your changes had come about as a result of some consensus that I was unaware of. But sadly Wikipedia can be a bit of an empty chasm sometimes, when you ask a question and the only reply is tumbleweed! Oh well, happy editing anyway.Cnbrb (talk) 17:08, 23 September 2019 (UTC)[reply]
Nice comparison. You made me remember these tumbleweeds :-) Enjoy your week. MarnetteD|Talk 17:12, 23 September 2019 (UTC)[reply]
That is utterly fantastic. Thank you!! Cnbrb (talk) 17:46, 23 September 2019 (UTC)[reply]
You are most welcome. I'm glad you enjoyed it :-) MarnetteD|Talk 19:21, 23 September 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Withington, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Benefactor (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail.

If you wish to participate in the 2019 election, please review the candidates and submit your choices on the voting page. If you no longer wish to receive these messages, you may add {{NoACEMM}} to your user talk page. MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 00:06, 19 November 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Tallis

I did not find any at Commons which I liked. I mean, the one you added isn't horrible but the production quality is not great and tuning is off. I sing with a number of choirs, next week I'm performing at Exeter with the English Cornetta nd Sackbut Ensemble, I do feel strongly about this. But the answer is to buy some sound recording gear and learn how to make better ones :-) Guy (help!) 17:11, 22 November 2019 (UTC)[reply]
