Avane Srimannarayana (lit. He is Srimannarayana) is an upcoming Indian Kannada-language period action film directed by Sachin Ravi, making his directorial debut, and jointly produced by H. K. Prakash and Pushkara Mallikarjunaiah[1].[2] It features Rakshit Shetty and Shanvi Srivastava in the lead roles.[3] Whilst the soundtrack and music score is by Charan Raj and B. Ajaneesh Loknath, the cinematography is by Karm Chawla.

The film is set in the 1980s and is about a corrupt police officer in a fictional town named "Amaravathi" in Karnataka.[4][5][6]

Cast

Production

The film was a debut for Sachin as a director. The New Indian Express reported in mid November 2018 that the screenplay of the film was "nearly done" and that the makers were finalizing on the characters for the film and locations, mostly in the North Karnataka region like Gajendragad. Set in the 1980s in a fictional village Amaravathi, it was revealed that Rakshit Shetty would play a police officer.[7] It was reported to be the Kannada film with the highest number of shooting callsheets. The film was shot for 198 days with 335 call sheets where one call sheet is one man-day.[8]

Soundtrack

Charan Raj and B. Ajaneesh Loknath have been signed to compose the songs and score for the film respectively.[9] The score of the film was orchestrated in Macedonia, Greece.[10]
