The Syrian National Orchestra for Arabic Music was a Syrian orchestra dedicated to the performance of Arabic music.[1] They were commonly known for collaborating with virtual band Gorillaz on the Plastic Beach track "White Flag", along with embarking with them on the Escape to Plastic Beach World Tour to play the song live.

In 2017, they were featured in the credits song by Gorillaz, "Crashing Down", of the Netflix documentary The White Helmets (film). The song is an unreleased track from Plastic Beach, but the original vocals from Damon Albarn were absent, instead consisting of traditional Arabic lyrics. The film later won the Academy Award for Academy Award for Best Documentary (Short Subject) at the 89th Academy Awards.

Its members were dispersed due to the Syrian Civil War.[2]
