Gotcha. How do I contact you if I needed? WeTalkWiki 13:20, 8 December 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Help me!

Why didn't show when I edit some articles?

WeTalkWiki 08:55, 11 December 2019 (UTC)[reply]

I assume you are referring to your edits to Wordpress, Snapchat and so on, where you added the parameter current_status = active. However, current_status is not a valid parameter in the Infobox software template, so it will not be displayed. Yunshui  11:09, 11 December 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you. Yeah. It is right. What about alexa on Google?(why it is not displayed?)

WeTalkWiki 13:55, 11 December 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Again, that's not a valid parameter. A list of the parameters that can be used in the template is available at Template:Infobox_software, linked above. Yunshui  14:07, 11 December 2019 (UTC)[reply]
Oh wait, it is. Hang on... Yunshui  14:10, 11 December 2019 (UTC)[reply]
Hm. Quite bemused by that. It's definitely acting as though alexa is an invalid parameter, but I can't see why. I'd suggest raising this on Template_talk:Infobox_software as an issue. Yunshui  14:17, 11 December 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Ok. Thank you. I'll report that issue on talk page. Have a nice day!

Possibly inappropriate username

Welcome to Wikipedia. I noticed that your username, "WeTalkWiki", may not meet Wikipedia's username policy because "we" is not a good idea in any of its four meanings. If you believe that your username does not violate our policy, please leave a note here explaining why. As an alternative, you may ask for a change of username by completing the form at Special:GlobalRenameRequest, or you may simply create a new account for editing. Thank you.

  • collective "we': implies multiple users
  • imperial "we": implies an official position of head of state or church
  • editorial "we": implies higher than ordinary standing as a Wikipedia editor
  • authorial "we": implies standing or ownership of a article as a author

One of adminstrators (sysop) told me username is ok. What is your user roll here to answer that question? Sorry for asking that question.

WeTalkWiki 06:45, 15 December 2019 (UTC)[reply]

I'm just another editor. An admin has no more or less "authority" to decide if a user name is acceptable than does any other editor. An admin does have the tools to block you if a consensus among editors concludes that your user name is inappropriate and you fail to change it. It does not appear that a consensus has been reached, so we will go to Wikipedia:Requests for comment/User names to see what other editors think. If most people are OK with your user name, then no hard feelings and welcome to Wikipedia. -Arch dude (talk) 07:13, 15 December 2019 (UTC)[reply]
