Turkey Bowl 2005

The Turkey Bowl is an annual American football game played on Thanksgiving Day between Calvert Hall College and Loyola Blakefield, two private schools in Towson, Maryland. The 87-year-old tradition is the oldest continuous Catholic prep school football rivalry in the United States. The Turkey Bowl has in recent years been held in M&T Bank Stadium, home of the Baltimore Ravens. Loyola has the better Turkey Bowl record at 46-33-8. The Dons have won the past 4 Turkey Bowls, and 18 of the last 22.

2006: Loyola 26, Calvert Hall 0 - Attendance, 10,794

The Dons won their 4th consecutive Turkey Bowl behind sophomore quarterback Leon Kinnard's 3 rushing touchdowns. Loyola finished their season 10-1, and shared the MIAA A Conference championship with McDonogh and Gilman.

2005: Loyola 31, Calvert Hall 13 - Attendance, 12,752

Syracuse bound quarterback Andrew Robinson (18 of 33, 197 yards, 1 TD, 92 yards rushing) can't lead Calvert Hall past Joe Lennon (2 rushing TDs), Casey Creaney (114 yards rushing, 1 TD), and the Dons.

2004: Loyola 21, Calvert Hall 13

Brady Smith(Boston College) and Rob Utz lead Loyola to the win with their dominant rushing performances.

2003: Loyola 14, Calvert Hall 7

2002: Calvert Hall 21, Loyola 10

Calvert Hall beats Loyola for the third consecutive year. Several players on the Calvert Hall team go on to play Division 1 football, including QB Andrew Goldbeck (Towson), DB Nick Williams (Towson), and RB Marques Thompson (Lehigh).

The Dons continued their dominance over Calvert Hall with a win at the new Ravens Stadium.

Final Turkey Bowl played in Memorial Stadium. It was a matchup of the #1 and #2 teams in the Baltimore area, with the #1 Dons winning to finish the season 9-1 and tops in the Baltimore area. Loyola was led by their senior captains Brant Hall (Lehigh), Blake Henry (Northwestern, Wake Forest), and Pat Brannan (Salisbury).
