Baniasuri is a village in Barisal District in the Barisal Division of southern-central. A British government employee live in there named, Syed Ali Talukder. He worked in the settlement office at Rangpur, Dacca. His son, Mokbul Hossain Talukder was a very well known person, During freedom fight 1971, he gave shelter of many Hindu people and he had deposited their Gold and precious things, which were appreciated by the return after war, Bangladesh.[1]
