Hi. We request that paid editors and others with a conflict of interest don't create articles directly in mainspace. Instead they should disclose who is paying them, and submit their articles through the articles for creation process. I've moved your article to Draft:Ibrahim S. Quraishi (visual artist). – Thjarkur (talk) 01:25, 8 January 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Hi. Thanks for notifying me. I will disclose the information in a bit, spent the day reading up Wikipedia guidelines, terms and conditions, and other similar cases to do this the right way. Once I disclose the required information, will you move the article back to the main page? Ashley.Bell (talk) 17:10, 8 January 2020 (UTC)[reply]
I've added disclosure statements as per Wikipedia guidelines for paid contributions in my user talk space and the draft's talk space, as well. Please move the page to the main space after review. Thanks! Ashley.Bell (talk) 18:33, 8 January 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Managing a conflict of interest

Information icon Hello, AshleyBell208. We welcome your contributions, but if you have an external relationship with the people, places or things you have written about on Wikipedia, you may have a conflict of interest (COI). Editors with a conflict of interest may be unduly influenced by their connection to the topic. See the conflict of interest guideline and FAQ for organizations for more information. We ask that you:

  • avoid editing or creating articles about yourself, your family, friends, colleagues, company, organization or competitors;
  • propose changes on the talk pages of affected articles (you can use the {{request edit}} template);
  • disclose your conflict of interest when discussing affected articles (see Wikipedia:Conflict of interest#How to disclose a COI);
  • avoid linking to your organization's website in other articles (see WP:Spam);
  • do your best to comply with Wikipedia's content policies.

In addition, you are required by the Wikimedia Foundation's terms of use to disclose your employer, client, and affiliation with respect to any contribution which forms all or part of work for which you receive, or expect to receive, compensation. See Wikipedia:Paid-contribution disclosure.

Also, editing for the purpose of advertising, publicising, or promoting anyone or anything is not permitted. Thank you. – Thjarkur (talk) 01:27, 8 January 2020 (UTC)[reply]

I will ensure that all the guidelines, terms and conditions are followed from now on. Thanks for informing me. Ashley.Bell (talk) 17:12, 8 January 2020 (UTC)[reply]

User talk:AshleyBell208/Ibrahim S. Quraishi (visual artist)

Quraishi

Hi, thank you so much for declaring. There are multiple instances in the article on Quarashi where the text is being very liberal with sources, not directly reflecting what the cited sources say. Please add URLs to the articles that are missing and take care to only include information directly verified in the cited sources. The current sources don't demonstrate that well that he has gotten significant coverage from multiple independant sources, most mentions seem very short. – Thjarkur (talk) 20:13, 10 January 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, thanks for notifying me. I will review the article once more and make the necessary changes. Ashley.Bell (talk) 22:07, 10 January 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Your edits

WP:COIEDIT: you should put new articles through the Articles for Creation (AfC) process instead of creating them directly. Much of Wikipedia's rules are not literally mandatory, but we have limited patience with editors who go against these guidelines. Your articles are sub-par and require review. The majority of the sources on Draft:Nicolas Porter are press relesases or spam blogs and should be removed. – Thjarkur (talk) 22:34, 10 January 2020 (UTC)[reply]

There is a difference between "should" and "must". If there is a matter of references and citations, you could put up a template message for that. Here are a bunch of them: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Template_messages/Cleanup#Individual_message_boxes:_Biographies_of_living_persons. Ashley.Bell (talk) 22:39, 10 January 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Editors who do not follow these "recommendations" tend to end up blocked. – Thjarkur (talk) 22:44, 10 January 2020 (UTC)[reply]

How are these recommendations? This seems like bullying and harassment. Ashley.Bell (talk) 22:45, 10 January 2020 (UTC)[reply]

A tag has been placed on Draft:Fresh Pawz, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, group, product, service, person, or point of view and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become encyclopedic. Please read the guidelines on spam and Wikipedia:FAQ/Organizations for more information.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator.
