In the Bible, Elon (or Ahialon in Douay–Rheims and some other translations) (Hebrew: אֵילֹן, Modern: Elon, Tiberian: ʼÊlōn, "oak"; Template:Lang-grc; Template:Lang-la) is named in the Book of Judges at chapter 12 and verses 11 and 12, as being a member of the Tribe of Zebulun who served as a judge of Israel for ten years, who followed Ibzan and was succeeded by Abdon.[1] [2][3][4] Elon, along with Tola, Jair, Ibzan, and Abdon are only briefly mentioned and appear to be the names of clans.[1]
